Rest in peace Deputy Alejandro Martinez. I remember seeing the incident on the news, now am I finishing week 8 of the academy as you were. Every time I am on a run I will finish in your honor. My condolences to the family.

The other night our community of San Jose came together at Christmas in the Park to honor those who had fallen in the line of duty. The Santa Clara Police Department handed out Christmas ornaments to put on the Christmas tree In the park. The night was to honor those who served who were killed in the line of duty. I received your ornament. I had to put my curiosity to ease, As I did not know you, my dear Friend Long Pham had a very similar tragedy and I felt at ease knowing more about your great service. May you rest in peace. Thank you for service!
