Reflections for Police Officer Aréanah M. Preston

I did not personally know this officer, but I did a project on her in school. I want to thank her for her service as someone who used to live in Chicago and does not live far from there now. Rest easy, Officer Aréanah.

As a woman with a beautiful lifestyle, her soul, who called her to heaven and left her behind, would not be forgotten. She should strive in her remembrance and valor, proud of being a police officer, a family for her daughter and sibling, and her intelligent success. She should live closer to her family and the Chicago citizens. She has so much importance for her blessing to become honored for her heroic actions during her duty as a law enforcement officer. Let the word about "Peace for Preston" warm her heart with passion and continue the strength to keep her memory alive. Let the sunflowers grow on the ground from the cycle of seasons to make the beautiful pedal bloom to open with her happiness of a favorite personal life.

Areanah, thank you for being the most honorable and successful in your law enforcement duty to help each other make the Chicago and Chicago Police Department proud and build hope. Your family members and your mom are grateful to each other for being law enforcement survivors and for getting to know each other. It is a tragic life of losing our loved ones. I am happy to support your mom and the Chicago Police Department in accepting this support and hope since we are introduced by an organization called "Concerns of Police Survivors." God bless you for visiting from a living heaven to attend National Police Week.

My son was murdered on the same day back in 2018. Offender never was caught. I'm writing a book about my pain and grief. Would like to add a chapter in my book dedicated to fallen CPD. The title of my book 35 Steps to Heaven. I would like to know if I could add some of the CPD officers in my book. Maybe a list dating back 5 years to current or so.

If anyone may know if i can do this please reach out to me at johnflindsey@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families in our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a law enforcement family member, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. In Christ Jesus, Your beloved Son, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

As the first female officer to be felled in Chicago's police history, one hundred and seventy years after the first officer was killed, you will not be forgotten.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

An absolute travesty and crime against humanity by meaningless individuals who will no doubt be defended as the REAL victims.

Officer Preston, your career was never given a real chance. You no doubt were destined for great things and now, the City of Chicago, the Chicago PD, your family and friends are without you, and for what? NOTHING.

God Bless you, Sister and all those who will personally feel your loss, though, so long as your kept in their hearts and minds, you will never truly be gone from them. Rest in Peace.
