Reflections for Staff Sergeant Tatiana Khaghani-Dees
Tatiana, I never knew you. I am sorry I didn't get to you soon enough. I was the EOD diver that pulled you out of the water that night. I tried, we tried, and I am sorry. My deepest condolences to your Family and loved ones...and once again I am sorry, we did all we could. May you Rest in Peace

I remember when you first came to the 92nd. Always the leader and great Soldier.
Happy that I was able to find and reach out to your daughter Lena today and let her know that we honor your memory every year.

It's so hard. We'd been in Saudi for only a few weeks. Everyone was still gearing up and we were all on high alert. When you died, it broke our hearts. I'll never forget it. I'd only known you for a couple of years, but you were a top notch squad leader. You never let anyone do anything that you weren't willing to do yourself. You were the epitome of professional.
