Witnessing the events on YouTube has evoked a profound sense of empathy for all parties affected. As the parent of a Leo, the scenario is particularly distressing. It is evident that the law enforcement personnel involved were deeply impacted by the situation. My sincere hope is that my son will never be involved in any circumstance that would lead to the loss of life, nor be part of a team responding to such an event. The psychological toll on officers following such incidents must be significant. The individual in question demonstrated a lack of regard for the lives involved, and I harbor a wish for justice. I offer a prayer for the safety of all readers, as well as the soldiers, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and all medical who serve, recognizing their shared commitment regardless of the circumstances.

I am a citizen who watched the video of this heartbreaking chase. I'm so upset. My heart goes out to this police officer, his family, friends & fellow officers. This was so unnecessary. That woman should have faced the death penalty. I also pray for the retired fire fighter, family & loved ones.

All give some and some give all. A tragic loss of life. My sincere, heartfelt condolences to family, friends/colleagues of this officer and retired fire fighter. Folks, no one knows the day/hour of our departure from this life. We are not promised a tomorrow. All we have is this moment. Officer Duran,

I just watched your body cam and other dash cam that they just released. What a horrible situation thinking you were trying to help someone who in the end made the whole story up. Such a senseless tragedy with the loss of your life as well as the retired Firefighter. Seeing that cross hanging and swaying from your rear view mirror knowing what was to come was tough to watch. I hope the criminal that put this event into play rots in hell for her actions. My condolences to the Duran family and to the Sante Fe Police Department. Rip Police Officer Duran and thank you for your service.
