Reflections for Police Officer Henry Nicholas Laxson

Ms. Laxson while the overwhelming pain you, your family and the members of the Clayton County Police Department feel today, please know that you will never be alone or spend another minute of your life in the dark.

Your husband gave you several precious gifts that only he could give as his last shift came to and end on November 30, 2021. He will always be walking ahead of you to light your path and clear the way for your safety. If you stop and close your eyes you will feel his presence and now that he is there with you. And when you open your eyes, you will see one or two or ten of his brothers in blue that are actually lighting your way and keeping you safe. He ended his watch with the knowledge that we will take care of you in his absence until you are reunited.

Please know that no matter where you are or what City or State you are in. If you need help, simply dial 911 and tell the dispatcher you are an Angel wife of a Police Officer and every officer that hears that call go out will be responding to you running 33 traffic from all over the City.

This is what we do. You are our family. While your husband and our Brother didn't want to leave you on November 30, he left knowing that this date was preordained by God and while we mourn today, we will celebrate his life starting tomorrow.

We have a saying here in Texas, "show me your friends and I will show you your future". We have seen the generosity and courage of your husband and our Brother and we know your future will be bright and the Clayton County Police Department will never forget his sacrifice.

Laxson was a great officer and person. He served at the Home Depot where I used to work as our security during the night shifts. He was always happy and his joy was contagious. There were a few days that I came to work not okay and Laxson cheered me up. He was like a brother to me and many others that knew him. He was very excited about his career, and he was a kind caring, individual. He knew what he wanted out of life and he was prepared to obtain it. He would want us to be happy in remembering him and know that he lives on in spirit. Rest Easy Officer Laxson. Well Done and Thank you for your service. Sending prayers and strength to his family.
