I am a Public Educator in the Gadsden County Public System who this morning received a strong letter from an administrator urging GCPS teachers and staff to somehow support this effort. I went on line planning to show pics of the officer most recently killed to my students, until I looked at the others listed--as well as the many powerfully voiced REFLECTIONS. Now I see that I will make copies of all of what I see and submit them to my students to respond to. This is what I and they can do to voice concern, appreciation, and our highest regard.

There are relatively few who have the calling and less that will wear the star. The job gets harder not easier these days but the sheepdogs will always report to muster.
It's not what they do but who they are.

I know my loved ones that have passed, are sad when they look down from heaven on me when I am sad. They say "Be happy for what we shared; the memories and laughter we made and pray for those that will never know those things or share the love we will always share. I will see you again at end of trail."

There are so many people here that care and a burden shared is that much lessened. You are not alone.
