Reflections for Trooper James Keith Stewart

Bull here I am 34 years later thinking about you. You were an alpha guy but made people laugh and feel good regardless of the situation. Obviously you made an impression on me, and so many others. I’ll never forget your devious smile and laugh.
RIP brother

Found some old photos in a box just yesterday. So many memories of our childhood were brought back of the good times shared in a small country home. Thanks for being a good brother and confidant. Your sacrifice are still making a difference today. Memories will always be here for the survivors of friends and family. Just sitting here at work and you crossed my mind. RIP brother.

Punkin’ I regret not coming to Nannie Sue’s for that family gathering. As much as you asked, I just didn’t feel good that day. And then mama calls.. I can’t tell you the tears I cried. Years and years later I still beat myself up about it!
Thinking about you a lot today❤️
I love you to Heaven and back more times than I can count!

Cousins in every way... I will always cherish the time we spent together while you were dispatching in Albany.. the suppers I cooked for you and you crashing on our couch just for a change! Our Atlanta 500 race trip was absolutely the best!! My heart completely broke when I got the call... I've visited you many times and left just as heartbroken.. I love you and miss you!

I knew BULL at Valdosta State. We were fraternity brothers. We had some crazy times together. He was a good friend, wished we had stayed in touch.
He was a great guy, unique sense of humor.

Thinking of you and missing you. We, Chas and I have had a full year, and we know you are with us every step of the way. Thank you for being in the car with our son the night he wrecked and keeping him here with me. He said you were there and I don't doubt it one bit. That night he wrecked brought back so many memories not just for me but for everyone that loves us. Thank you for every thing, mostly the love you gave your family and a wonderful son.
Love you forever!

21 years ago my mom woke me up after my senior prom to tell me of the loss of Bull. Not an April 27th goes by that I don't remember him and pray for you Kim and Chaz. From my heart to God's ears, my prayers are with you both today and I pray they both feel his presence in a way that can only be described as God whispering sweet love notes in their spirits.

Our son wants to be a trooper and wear your badge. I called to talk with someone about him getting on and the person wasn't very nice. His was not working with the state when you died and he didn't know you. He didn't seem to care that your baby boy had lost his best friend. So as soon as I got off the phone these emotions poured out.

Like that Man, like my dad

"My little man" his dad would say
"He looks and acts like me more everyday"

A baby, he was just learning to talk
Holding his dad's hand and learning to walk

Working late one night a call rang out
"Officer needs help, take the quickest route"

With no hesitation that man, his dad answered that call
Blue lights and sirens he gave it his all

And ALL is exactly what his dad sacrificed
Because that night his dad would go live with christ

Never forgotten a hero is he
He gave his life serving you and me

Only a toddler when his dad died
Not knowing what happened or why I cried

My son never got to know that man, his dad
No memories, just pictures is all he had

Eighteen years is where we are now
How can he ask, how can I allow?

He says "wearing his dad's badge is all he has planned
being like that man just like his dad"

I love you
Kim

BULL, I never had the opportunity to meet you, but with the name like "BULL" I know we would have been the best of friends. I read Jason Ellis' reflection and learned about the motivation that you were to the Troopers at Post 30. I strive to motivate the Troopers of Post 4 Villa Rica to work out and take their strength and conditioning serious. You were right, The more you sweat in the weight room, the less you bleed on the side of the road. Rest in peace my brother.
