Reflections for Park Ranger Margaret A. Anderson
I am so deeply sorry for the families loss. I pray that her girls will grow to be the people she hoped they would be. I think of the years stationed at Ft. Lewis and having grown up here, the joy I had in taking my buddies from across the States through the Park. I thank her and her colleagues for all their work. My heart to all of her family.

It's so difficult to express the sorrow I feel for your family at this tragic time, but I pray for the peace of your heart and soul as you lie in rest. I hope that your family finds the strength to recover by seeking comfort in their memory of your beautiful life they were so blessed to share.

To Margarets family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. It's hard if not impossible to comprehend such a random act of violence. When the fog begins to lift, remember the pride I'm sure Margaret felt when she rescued a visitor, helped out fellow ranger and simply shared the beauty of nature with her family and those around her. I believe that now Ranger Anderson stands as a gaurdian with those who have gone before her watching over those still serving.
Rest in Peace and May God Keep You and your loved ones in the Palm of His Hand!!

"Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savored much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow."
~An Irish Blessing
You were a good friend and a determined Ranger, Margaret. I know you never would have quit to the end. You were a fighter. And I will always remember you that way. Rest, now. We'll look over you family and take the watch.
