I am the person that Drew the picture of the American flag with a phila police badge that has a black ban over the badge, there was also a letter that was put with the picture.I presented the drawing to the 35th dist and it was hung in the roll call room in honor of Officer John Pawlowski were I met a Leut. I also have A Picture Like this one in the front window of my house that has a light shining on it,it will remain there for the full 30 days. I also stood on I-95 north bound at Linden Ave with the same picture facing the patrol cars as officer Pawlowski's Funeral Procession past me. I Presented the drawing to the 35th dist. on 2/17/09. My drawing was shown on ch. 10 news neuorous times under a photo of Officer Pawlowski in the roll call room. My hope is that on day it will be presented to his family.

To Johns Wife, Family, and Friends:

I never had the privilege to personaly know John but he is still my Brother of Blue. I work a City away from you and know the life all too well. Oddly enfough the tragic event took place on my birthday. I am currently out IOD. My Sgt called me and advised me "It Happened Again". I knew he was not talking about my birthday. Before he spoke another word, a tear emerged from my eye and I could not speak. I found out everything and prepaired to meet John. On the 20th Friday of Feb. 2009 "Against my Doctors Orders" I drove myself to CB SP&P with a broken foot cast crutches and everything to let you and John know we love you guys and respect what you have done. Please stay intouch for anything you need! ANYTHING!! I mean it. We are all we got!
Take Care and God Bless...

I met Officer Pawlowski on the day of his graduation from the police academy. My brother in law was in his class. It was a chance encounter as we walked to the parking lot. He was so young, but he left an impression on both my husband and me. Five years later we still remembered him.

We join everyone else in sending our well wishes to his family and most of all to his unborn child.

Another brother from Philly has been taken away from us and I can't begin to understand what is going on in the place I used to call home. I wish I had something better to say but the fact is that this is becoming a common occurrence. I pray for your wife and family, and especially your unborn child. I hope he one day gets to read these reflections so he can understand how important you were to us all. Watch over us as we carry on just as you did everyday. You will not be forgotten brother.

We did not know you or your family but, we feel that we came to know you through the news and family members. As I watched your service on tv, I cried with everyone else. I cried for your wife and your unborn baby. I cried because it's just not fair, you were so young and had your whole life before you. May God bless you and your family during these days and forever. May God watch over every Police Officer and protect them as they protect us.

I did not know Officer Pawlowski but from the stories that were told by Commissioner Ramsey and his sister, he was an amazing guy, officer and friend. I don't know how much pain the family is feeling but my uncle is a detective for Major Cases and I pray to GOD that nothing happens to him. This is the 4th funeral I attended for a Philadelphia Police Officer. The funerals I attended were for Sgt. McDonald, Officer Nazario, Sgt. Simpson and Officer Pawlowski. My condolences go to the whole Philadelphia Police Department, Family and Friends of Officer Pawlowski. Officer Pawlowski, YOU WILL BE MISSED. I agree with Commissioner Ramsey when he stated that the suspect was not shot enough. This violence has to stop especially violence against police officers. People do not care who they harm even if its a police officer. People need to respect the police, they are here for our safety. I am sorry that Officer Pawlowski passed away. Brother, Officer Pawlowski, REST IN PEACE!

Too many times you hear of another brave Officer’s life been cut short because of the cowardly act of some vial human being. When does our Justice System step in and say enough is enough. When will one District Attorney put his political agenda aside and draw the line in the sand? If you kill a Police Officer, you are automatically guilty and the punishment is Death.
My family’s heart goes out to the Pawlowski’s family, fellow Philadelphia Police officers and friends. Our family lost a brave man back on August 2, 2003. Find comfort in each other and celebrate Officer Pawlowski’s life as from the reflections that have been written this was a special and extraordinary man. God bless...

On behalf of EchoForce Tactical we would like to offer our sincerest condolences in your dark hour. Law Enforcement officers are truly the unsung heroes of this great country and, as law enforcement officers ourselves, it truly saddens us to see one of our brothers or sisters taken from us. Too many times our country’s protectors do not get the credit they deserve nor the accolades for their services that such members of society like sports stars or actors get. This is truly disheartening and unfair. But, please take comfort in knowing that when an officer is taken from our family the pain is felt throughout the nation and by each and every officer in this country.

Our hearts, minds, and prayers are with you and your family in this hour of need. Please be safe and be proud of the sacrifice your officer made. It is the few that protect the many.

Our deepest regards,

EchoForce Tactical
