Reflections for Police Officer Bernard Trevor Lankford
Officer Lankford’s last remaining child, Bernard Alan Langford, died Oct. 22, 2025, at 72 years old. His son was an Auxiliary Police Officer for many years with the Bristol Tennessee Police Department. He was my patrol partner and a close friend for many years.

Officer Lankford,
On today, the 60th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe fighting the Germans during World War II as a member of the 84th "Rail Splitter" Infantry Division. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
