Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Constable Smith,
It has taken over 74 years, but you are finally being honored. I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Limestone County. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. I think it was a travesty of justice that your murderer didn't get the justice that they deserved.

It is unthinkable that your heinous murder was so lightly treated. No doubt the cowards met a far more severe justice in the next life. Rest in peace hero you are not forgotten.
