My prayers go out to officer Kozminski's family and his fellow officers, the early morning is still very real in my mind, I was outside by the street in front of the emergency room entrance, taking a break from being by my grandmothers side that morning when officer Kozminski's fellow officers rushed him to the emergency room in one of the police cars. My prayers for officer Kominski and his family started at that very moment, and will continue each day .

On the day of Officer Kozminski's murder, we honored his service by reading his entry from ODMP in our patrol briefing. Each day, we honor one fallen officer so as to keep them in our thoughts, and also to remind us of the dangers of this job. Our thoughts are with his family and his agency. I do not live in Grand Rapids or know the fallen officer, I am just writtting with my prayers for everyone. I lost a cousin whom was a Howard City Police Officer a few years ago whom was also a young man and way to early to be taken from us. He too passed doing his passion as he had always wanted to be an officer. His life was taken do to a car accident bringing in an inmate. I would like to just thank all the officers out there who do put their life on the line each and every day. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
