Reflections for Police Officer Bryan Dennis Tuvera

We are in tears at this moment after hearing this sad & tragic news.
We were neighbors of the Tuvera family when our son attend the local elementary school through 3rd grade with Bryan. Our condolescenes to his mother and sister and wife. We knew Bryan as a perfect young boy. He was kind, shy, tender, and funny. He was so unique.... a leader and respected at such a young age (elementary school). We knew he was destined to be a hero. God bless you, Bryan.

To the family of Officer Bryan Tuvera, his wife, friends, the SFPD, and to all the men and women of the Law Enforcement Community:

I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. A brave and courageous man that was called to such a noble profession that gave the ultimate sacrifice. We are proud of Bryan; he did not swerve from the path of duty to protect others, and made an unselfish decision to lay down his life if necessary. His bravery will never be forgotten. I stand tall with great honor and pride for Bryan’s sacrifice because he is a true American hero. Let’s all grieve on such a tragic loss but let us not forget that we must continue to march on and continue to protect and serve just like Bryan would want. He is now in heaven with all our departed brothers and sisters patrolling the streets of heaven. Take care of each other and my prayers to the Tuvera Family. God speed brother.

My deepest sympathy to the Tuvera Family for their loss. There are no magic words I can offer to help fix your broken hearts or ease your pain. All I can say is that Bryan is a true hero and heroes never die, he will never be forgotten. I ask that he continues to keep watch over his loved ones and close friends and those officers still out guarding over the thin blue line.

I didn't know you very well at all, but every time I saw you, you were one of the most professional officers I've worked with. I'll pray for your wife and family. I met Bryan Tuvera at Nationwide Papers were he worked part time in our computer room. He often talked about becoming a Policeman. He was attending school at the time. He then joined the police acadamy, he said it was alot of hard work and took alot of dedication, but he stuck through it.

We were all so proud of him when he made it on the force, a dream came true for him. I remember when he brought in his first uniform to show all of us at the Paper Company. We all hugged him goodbye as he was off on his new adventure as a San Francisco Cop, one that he dreamed of for so long.

Bryan, may you rest in peace and know that you have touched the lives of many. I am glad that I was a part of your life, even if it was for such a short time.

God Bless,

This week has been very sad and violent in the state of California. Four police officers have been shot and 2 killed. Two officers were shot in Long Beach, California but, so far are still alive. All law enforcement mourns wherever an officer is killed. Rest in peace.
