I had the privilege of working with Josh for a short time. As we approach the anniversary of his and Dale's loss, let us remember what is really important, our family & friends. Keep the Risners and the Holcombs in your prayers. Let them feel our love & support. These families have given us the greatest gift of their loved ones, for which we are forever grateful. Let there be peace in our hearts over the past year's events. Live each day in honor of our fallen friends and look forward to the day when we will see them again. We miss you guys.

My old friend, I recall

The times we had hanging on my wall

I wouldn't trade them for gold

Cause they laugh and they cry me

They somehow sanctify me

They're woven in the stories I have told

And tell again

My old friend, I apologize

For the years that have passed since the
Last time you and I

Dusted off those memories

But the runnin' and the races

The people and the places

There was always somewhere else I had to be

And time gets thin my old friend

Don't know why, don't know why

Don't know why, don't know why

My old friend this song's for you

Cause a few simple verses was

The least that I could do

To tell the world that you were here

Cause the love and the laughter

Will live on long after
All of the sadness and the tears

We'll meet again my old friend .....Tim McGraw

Josh I had dinner with your mom, and we went to see your dad to show him my arm. It helped me to see your mom smile and to shake Jon's hand. I wanted to give him a hug but didn't want to press my luck. LOL We shared Josh stories and I looked at your old yearbooks, I wish you were there, I miss ya everyday...

A heart of gold stopped beating, two shining eyes at rest. God broke our hearts to prove, He only takes the best.

Josh,

You are missed and loved even more than usual with each passing day. I can not beleive it has been ten months. Dad had a pretty tough time on Saturday, he misses his "Wooly." He has been riding some and I have too, we always take a picture of you with us. Dad says you do not get cranky, as much as I do when I get hot and thirsty! We thought you would like that! Peyton had a good birthday at the house, he is really getting tall. Paige played with Lauren, they are so cute together. I have had alot of dreams of you recently. They are wonderful dreams, peaceful and you are happy and funny as always, some are you looking out for all of us. Do they have my famous porcupine meatballs in heaven? Ha! I love you and miss you bunches... Keep visiting in my dreams!

Well Josh, here we are, another holiday. I think about you and your dad a lot. I wonder how he is doing. I try to say a prayer as often as I can for your family and friends. I talk to your dad's "cub" and always think about you too.

Anyway, Happy Fourth of July in heaven and keep an eye out for the kids. Rest easy friend.

Josh, I think of you often. I hope you are smiling down on us, guiding us in unknown ways and laughing at some of our predicaments! I just wish I could talk to you again and tell you how much you are missed. We have a lot of "windshield time" out here on the road and you keep popping into my head. I wish there was more I could do.....
