Reflections for Officer Brent William Clearman
I know that all who has served, known Officer Clearman have lost a wonderful person because his legacy is two fold because he was in the military also. What a wonderful person he must be to all, and a wonderful hero.
“In The Line Of Duty”
In Memory Of All Police Officers
Who Have Been Called To Make The Ultimate Sacrifice
What is the meaning of "In The Line Of Duty"
It means that an officer made the Ultimate sacrifice.
It means that someone took an officers life.
A hero has fallen. Officers who gave their all
To protect and serve us
Have been killed by someone whom they swore
To protect and serve.
It means that their badge will no longer be on their chest
And they will join "The Best Of The Best"
It means that family and friends are left behind
To deal with the lost of a loved one.
Only having the memories of that loved one
Close to their hearts. Something no one can ever take away.
It means that family members will stand at the officers grave and wonder why... Why would someone take an officers life
And leave them there to die?
If we only knew. Today an officer will place their badge on their chest
To fulfill the dreams of heroes killed
"In The Line Of Duty
Thank you for your courage, and we will keep your family, and loved ones in our prayers
God Bless You All

Brent: in the short time we worked together in Oakland, you always seemed to be goal oriented, driven and steadfast. At times I'm sure the job seemed like alot to take in, but I never once heard you gripe...the trait of a soldier; a Marine. We're both on to bigger and better things now, but you'll always be remembered for the selfless life you lived. My prayers are with you and your family. God Bless,
Tony

I only knew Brent for a short period, (1 week). Brent had just returned from Iraq, Brent was working for HHS International and was teaching a Basic and Advanced Sniper Class at our Departmnet in Rittman Ohio, I was lucky enough to take part in both. Brent had the opportunity to sleep in the nicest Hotel's in our area, but he chose to sleep at our police range in his truck because he did not want to be late and he was always thinking of ways to make us better sharpshooters. The short period I new Brent I could tell he was a very intense person and wanted to go good. Thanks to Brent I know I am a better Sniper and Officer, when we (our class) complained about anything, Brent was there to tell us..."SUCK IT UP, BUTTERCUP!". your gonna be missed, your friend,

I met Brent in October of 2004 as a Police SWAT Sniper Instructor. He was anxiously awaiting his entry into the CHP Academy. He was a superb human being who led an unselfish life of sacrifice and commitment. He dedicated himself to the betterment of his community, his country and the entire world. No words can ease the pain and sorrow of his wife, family and friends but may you someday find peace knowing that he touched so many lives both here and abroad, and reflect on his legacy rather than his tragic departure. He now patrols the golden streets of heaven with so many heroes who have passed before him. Rest easy now brother, you've earned it!
