Reflections for Trooper Ralph Charles Tatoian
I can't believe you have been gone so long. It feels just like yesterday for all us. Even your younger cousins at the time remember. We passed your sign on the highway Friday. It was very surreal. We both blew you kisses. It's hard to really comprehend you are not here in body. Your always in our hearts and in our thoughts. From the time you were a baby, toddler, child, teen then young adult, you always knew how to make all of us smile. We really miss you.
Love you.

Seven years to the date. In approximately 4 hours and 32 minutes seven years ago I was told you were 10-42 and you ended your watch. Crockett and Tubbs and I still feel it in the air tonight. I still pray and keep your family in my prays and thoughts, but more so I keep that smile, laugh, positive attitude and warrior spirit in my heart and mind everyday. You are gone and will never forgotten. Beers, Bicycles, FTO, Kodiak, Cross Keys, North county, wanting to be as good as 582 and 315, Zone 1 forever. Miss you! I WILL SEE YOU LATER BUDDY! Hi Ralphie,
I have been thinking about you a lot lately. I was remembering when you and Sandy were just small little children. You with the cute dimples and Sandy with the curly hair. You both grew up and what wonderul adults!
I keep thinking of when you were little. How I wish you could still be here to make people laugh and to smile with those dimples.
Your always in our hearts.

I know you, Nick and all of the guys celebrated on Sunday. We went to the cemetary to visit with Nick and saw Sam and Ralphie. They were selling flowers. Payton and I got out and got flowers for Nick and talked to your kids. I know you are so proud of them. They are always so nice and polite. Payton started laughing when Ralphie was standing next to me and was as tall as I was.
Just wanted your family to know that we are thinking of them as your birthday is coming up.

Everyone was asking how we managed to have such nice weather on Saturday, I kept saying I had a guy and that I called in a favor. Just wanted to say thanks taking care of us. Wish you could have been there.

Woke up this morning in a haze and just cant quite grasp that this is our reality. Times like this break our hearts all over again. I just want to pretend that it is all a bad dream and any second we will hear your voice and you will say something funny and all will be right in our lives again.

I remember waking up 6 years ago on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 and hearing the radio traffic as this horrible crash happened, resulting in the death of a fine young trooper. R.I.P. Trooper Tatoian.

Bachelor party was saturday, 43 and windy with rain. A good time was had by all, wish you could have been there. Nick, Jack, John and Ray played golf, could hear them four holes away. I can see why you were so close with Nick, you cant help but have a good time when he is around. I am thankful he is around. The number 1140 has been popping up all over the place lately. Seems like every third deal i do at work adds up to $1140. Had a play day with Cameron and the boys a few weeks back, they get along great. After the wedding and school is over we are going to let them have a sleep over. Cant get over how big Ralphie is getting, I think he is into guns even more than you were. He was pissed when I told him I had the chance to buy a 50 caliber sniper rifle and didnt.

You never have been or ever will be forgotten. Loneliness
is not the absence of affection; it is the absence of direction. We can not recapture the past only treasure it.
We must focus on tomorrow. Receive this prophetic word:
"My Precious Child, How I Love You. I created you to experience and share my love. Fear nothing look ever to Me
and I will be your strength; and I will bring you peace and
order. Walk with Me and know I am the Lord and your faith
in Me is your strength."
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth you are weeping
for that which has been your delight.

Ralphie, well deer season has came and gone and for some of us that is when we miss you the most. I am not sure how much hunting would haver gotten done with our kids coming of age to go with us. Last weekend was the second youth season. 18 degrees I would have slept in just like you but my six year old wanted to hunt. I was over ruled. Sunday morning he wanted to shoot the 12 gauge. No fear All the other older kids just watched until he almost got knocked down. Then they lined up to trip the trigger he had shamed the others into it. I am sure we would have met up at Bass Pro then over to BWW for a couple of cold ones. Your friend.

It`s Christmas Eve and everyone is doing other things. This is the first time we haven`t had Christmas Eve in 39 years. Tomorrow will be busy though, everyone is coming to dinner. I can`t say it`s bad, just different. Remembering the joy Christmas brought you, especially when your kids were little. I have a special place on my tree just dedicated to your memory. I miss you so much and wish things were different. I love you. You are always on my mind and in my heart. Merry Christmas sweetheart.

Ralph-
We ran into your dad and Ralphie last night. It was so great to see them and Ralphie stood up and was as tall as I was. He just smiled that great smile. He was so excited to tell us his great news from the day. It was also so great to see how happy your dad looked to be able to share in the special day with him.
I asked Ralphie if he thought you had something to do with his day. He smiled this wonderful smile and said yes.
My daughter saw the picture that your mom gave to me after you passed. It was of me & you when we were really young. I told her the story of you. We miss you and Nick so much!
