Another year has gone by 43 to be exact and yet I still find people who not only remember you but share stories of lasting impacts you made in their lives. Today 1 of your best friends will be laid to rest and it's ironic that it is on the your left this world. So I believe you are both enjoying the best friendship ever still today. Dad I will always say you are my hero and I miss you more than anything.

Heavenly Father, I come before You today grieved in heart over the divisions in our country; the United States of America. I grieve for every life lost to violence, regardless of color or creed. And I especially grieve this day over the senseless deaths of America’s Peace Officers whose sworn duty is to protect us from harm. Please grant comfort and hope to their families. I know from the Holy Scriptures in Romans 13 that Peace Officers have a sacred task, to enforce laws that protect the innocent and punish the guilty. I pray that You will protect them as they serve us. Give them wisdom, discernment, and a deep desire to serve You. Please surround every Peace Officer in our nation, the United States of America, with battalions of warring angels to protect them from harm. I stand in the powerful and mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ against every work of Satan intended to inflict injury and death on our Protectors. May Satan’s power be thwarted, in Your mighty and holy name, and his plans exposed by Your Light. In the mighty and holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, our Redeemer, and the Mediator between us, Heavenly Father, in prayer, and by His authority, I pray! Amen.
Please find Encouragement, Comfort, Support, and Hope from God's Word:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
[Matthew 5:9 ESV];
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." [Psalm 23:4 ESV];
"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."
[John 15:13 ESV];
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." [Matthew 5:4 ESV];
"And he [Jesus] said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." [Luke 23:43 ESV], and;
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." [John 3:16 ESV].

Happy Heavenly Birthday Dad you would be 78 and relaxing doing hunting or fishing and singing all those songs you would listen to while driving. I sure miss those days as a boy riding around with you. I often wonder how different my life would be if you hadn't lost your life? You stood for truth and justice and how to be a better man. This world needs more men like you. Always know you are my hero and I love you so dearly. With love your son Bryan.

Madison having recently graduated from Alabama Law School is a Lawyer... Brooke has been a very wonderful RN who found her passion in Labor and delivery has kept the Blue Line

Today is so difficult as I reflect on the impact you made in my life and now as I part of a wonderful group Alabama Chapter of Concerns Of Police Survivors and honored to serve as the Police Liason to handle those who give themselves in the LODD. I continue to serve the community and 38 years later you and Cody are together as his struggle is over. I am praying that I honor you daily dad.

Approximately 36 years ago at this moment you took your last breath and went to be with God. You have been in heaven as long as you were here on Earth. The grief process has been a struggle because I often think of who I am and where I would be if you were still here? To say I love you and so proud of the man you are just doesn't seem enough. God bless you dad and I am so honored to be your friend and son.
