Just thinking of you. We went to the grove this afternoon. It is such a tranquil place. It still does't seem possible that it's been three years. So much has happened, yet it hasn't happened. I know you know how amazing Kathy and the kids are. They are an inspiration to us every day!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Howie, the first thought I had when I heard of Bob's passing was that he was now with you at the Ceres PD substation in the sky watching over those of us left behind. I am thankful that I had that last conversation with him the night before. I came to him with a problem and, as always, he gave me the guidance and advise I needed. I am only left wondering why our lord has taken yet another of the great ones from us. I know He has a plan, I just wish I could understand it. It is a comfort knowing that you were there to greet him and show him the way. Thank you for that. Until we all meet again.....

Hi Sweetheart.
we miss you so much!!! I had to write to you today because we are so very sad.
As you already know, our beloved Officer Bob Panos died suddenly yesterday
morning. Gosh, what a shock! He was getting ready for work and then he was in heaven with you and all our Heros. I know you were right there to greet him. Our Lord Jesus brought him home and I know he is safe and loved. Still all of us left here today, are heart broken. Bob will be just as missed,as you are. We will not be the same without is beautiful smile to make our day! We are keeping his family close and praying that they know we grieve with them.
love you forever Soul Mate

Sgt. Stevenson,
I know I have only met you a couple of times, but you have defenitly changed my life for the good. You told me about the explorers post over a game of pool one night after I had mentioned that I was thinking about a life as an officer. And as Im sure you've seen I joined the post and I've made it up to Lieutenant now, so I must be doing something right. Im plan on attending the police academey here in July, and hopefully I get picked up by Ceres. I dont want to work anywhere else, because of the tight family bond that I have been lucky enough to be apart of.
It's been pretty cool hearing stories about you from Bryce, Mick, and Kathy. Oh ya before I forget, your Beef Jerky is delicious!!!! I told Bryce that they should market it and call it Howie's Jerkey. I think the name has a ring to it.
By the way I've gotten alot better at pool, I have even beaten Bryce a few times. He's been teaching me how to do some pretty tricky shots.
Im sure you've seen that Officer Panos passed away yesterday morning, and it's been another hard blow for us at Ceres PD. But we will continue on one day at a time; with you and Bob watching over and guiding us thgough the days.....

Howie... Its been a long time since I've been on here to say a little something to you. Today has been one of those days where once again we lost someone close to us. This has been har for me because I was close with this person. I hope you take care of him, and grasp him under your wings. Bob will be missed just as much as you are. Please take care of him, and let him know that I am thinking of him and you.

Hi sweetheart,
missing you as always...the sun is finally out today. It has been raining and cold for the last two weeks. I mostly did'nt mind because I could just stay home and cubby up with a fire and watch movies with the kids and your family. But I'm glad to see the sun because the back yard is in need of some TLC. The pool is a mess with leaves. Bryce is going to help me clean them out. I forget how a few storms can really mess stuff up. I miss you guiding us on chore days because you made them fun. We knew we would get to do something extra fun after our chores, like Geocashing or going to a movie and dinner. Always something good to look forward too. It just is not the same without you...Sorry not trying to do the "whoo is me thing" . I just wanted to tell you Thank You for the fun times, even when we had chores to do. We love you so much and can't wait to see you again Soul Mate!!!

Hi Sweetheart,
Today we all remember you, and when I say all I mean ALL that love you and all that wished they had the chance to know you when you were here with us. Everyone that gathered today had a reason. Some gathered because they truly know how it has been to live without you here in there daily lives. Some gathered to honor the sacrifice you made in the line of duty. Some gathered to comfort each other. Some gathered to see the progress the has been made after this horrible tragedy. Still some gathered just to be together as a true family! This day will always mean something different to each of us. That is simply wonderful, because it means that you will never be forgotten. You and all those Heros that continue to place others needs and others lives before your own can only be truly recognized through the commitment to NEVER FORGET the sacrifice !!!
We were able to get through this day as well as all the days without you because of the love and support of our friends and family . They all LOVE you and miss you as much as we do! Keep watching over all of us and know we will be together again in perfect love. Thank You Lord!!!
love you Soul Mate

Three years have passed since you were called away and I know for those that love you dearly that it has felt like a lifetime since they have felt your touch, heard your voice and saw your wonderful smile. You are forever carried in their hearts wherever they go. Continue to watch over all of them. You are a true hero and heroes never die.

Good Morning Sweetheart,
I know how silly it is to be writing you so much, but I miss you!!! Yes of course everyone that knows you can relate, so I do not feel so bad. We all can not help how we feel. You and so many others in our lives have made such an important impact on us; that no words could not began to convey. Though you are not here today is why our hearts break. Why so many great people have to leave us way to early, is beyond my understanding. Thank God that I am not ask to understand ! I do always give Thanks that we did not suffer the loss of Sammy, Chris and John, as well as all the GREAT HEROS that were there that night. All of you were ready to put your lives on the line; not just that night but every time you left your homes. We want to remember all the Heros that have paid with their lives as well as all those that continue to protect all of us. We Love You All and will keep you and all that love and support you in our prayers always. Thank You for always giving us your BEST. Love you Soul Mate Can't wait...

Hi Sweetheart,
just me again...wish you were here!!! I love you so very very much and can't wait to see you again. You are on my mind all the time. I find it very easy to lose track of time these days. My mind wonders back to wonderful memories of you. I can remember everything about you. I remember so clearly that sometimes it seems like you are going to walk right through our door. Thank you for such warm and loving memories. Your smile melts my heart and makes these days and nights bearable. Our kids have so much of you in them, they keep me looking forward...they too make these days bearable. I know I sound mushy but thats OK because I'm a girl! ha ha I love being able to come here and write to you. I try to keep it light because it is better that way. I know you are watching over all of us and will keep us safe! Thank you
love you Soul Mate

Happy New Year Sweetheart,
Gosh, we really miss you!!! We brought in the New Year with our thoughts on
you and how wonderful it will be when we meet in heaven. I know you are in the most perfect place with the most perfect love. Our Lord Jesus Christ made that possible. I am truly thankful for His sacrifice. I hope 2008 will be a safe and productive year for us. The 9th is coming up and we are going to be down at your Wild Life Grove. We invited those that know and love you to come together and remember you with us. I think it will make the day a little easier to be with people that love you! Carmen and I spent New Years Eve at our home and Ron came over too. He brought some yummy Mouse stew. Art let Micky ride out with him. She said, she had a great time. They even busted some drunk drivers! Bryce had to work again. He said, he had a quiet night. I know you are watching over all of us. That always makes me feel good!!! We love you so very much and keep you in our thoughts and in our hearts. You will never be forgotten by any of us. You are our HERO now and forever!!! Love you Soul Mate

My community lost a young police officer less than 2 weeks ago to a violent murder. I come to this memorial and feel as though I am on hollowed ground. I have read what happened to you Sergeant King. Many of us citizens run away when things danger comes to our community but it is men and women like you that hold the line. Thank you Sergeant King for your life, thank you to your family for allowing you to carry on your career of service to your community. You sir were a brave man and I know you will never be forgotten by your loved ones, colleagues and citizens like myself.
Rest in Peace
