My very first dealing with an officer, was a California Highway Patrolman. I was about 16 and was pulled over talked to about my driving. I was terrified and rightfully so. I remember standing alongside the road looking at this officer, his uniform neat and pressed, his badge shining and seemed to beat along with his heart and those shoes polished so, it hurt your eyes to look at them. That Califoria Highway Patrolman made such an impact on my life; I too and am now a Police Officer. So, Officer Goodman I honor you, for I'm sure during your career you too have made many positive influences on young poeples lives; just like your brother CHP Officer did on me so many years ago. Rest in peace and god bless your family.

When one law enforcement officer falls, we all stumble for a while, but we will carry on.
