Reflections for Police Officer Tony Willi Zeppetella
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Tonight, I was thinking of You, Brah.
I have seen so-much Ugliness during my lifetime.
However, the Brutality displayed on that Tragic Night when You left us, remains on my my mind.
May You Rest-in-Peace.......

Your anniversary is coming up again... I can’t believe it’s been 17 years... still seems like yesterday. I’ve been retired for almost 8 years but your picture in my home office reminds me every day of the sacrifice you made... I often think of the night before and the laughs we shared... your smile is embedded in my memory forever... you are so missed and will never be forgotten... but I’m sure you know how much we all miss you... I bet you and Dan and Leonard had one awesome reunion!!! I can’t wait to see you again one day.... until then I will hold your memory in my heart like I have all these years...
Love,
Shirl

I was in Tonys division in the navy for years. He was one squared away sailor. I have some good picks of him with all the guys in many ports. I figure his wife and kid maight like to see them, I am looking for a mailing address if they want them.

“The Reapers and the Flowers” (1839)
There is a Reaper, whose name is Death,
__And, with his sickle keen,
He reaps the bearded grain at a breath,
__And the flowers that grow between.
“Shall I have naught that is fair?” saith he;
__“Have naught but the bearded grain?
Though the breath of these flowers is sweet to me,
__I will give them all back again.”
He gazed at the flowers with tearful eyes,
__He kissed their drooping leaves;
It was for the Lord of Paradise
__He bound them in his sheaves.
“My Lord has need of these flowerets gay,”
__The Reaper said, and smiled;
“Dear tokens of the earth are they,
__Where He was once a child.
“They shall all bloom in fields of light,
__Transplanted by my care,
And saints, upon their garments white,
__These sacred blossoms wear.”
And the mother gave, in tears and pain,
__The flowers she most did love;
She knew she should find them all again
__In the fields of light above.
Oh, not in cruelty, not in wrath,
__The Reaper came that day;
‘T was an angel visited the green earth,
__And took the flowers away.

I haven't left you a reflection for a long time, so much has happened in my life this past year... but that doesn't mean I don't think about you every single day. I check on your mom and sister frequently and I am so honored and blessed to know them. As the years pass I still see your smile in so many things... Miss you Tony... xoxo
