Reflections for Constable Darrell Edward Lunsford, Sr.
Thank you for all the lives your passing has saved.
Cadet Johnny Whisenant
Capital Area Law Enforcement Academy
You were hurt, beaten, and brutalized. They left you to die in the dirt, grass, and alone.
But......You shall rise again on the Last Day with the faithful, rich, and poor. Coming to the House of Lord Jesus Christ, you will find an open door there. You found an open door.

Tonight we watched the video of your last traffice stop. You are and always will be a hero to many people. I am saddened by your tragic death and the loss that is felt by your family. I just wanted you to know that you are still thought of and missed by those who knew and loved you, as well as people you have never met. Rest in Peace, I know you are watching over us.

I can still remember the day Constable Lunsford was killed. Even more clearly however I can remember the first time I saw the video tape in the police academy. Rest in peace Constable.
