Reflections for Police Officer Julie Rochelle Jacks
Julie:
God bless you as you depart this cruel life to patrol the Streets of Gold. You were always a dedicated professional in every way. You were like our little sister here in Fox Team. I guess when the Lord needed the best officer he could find, you naturally came to His mind.
Officer Michael Short
Chattanooga Police Department
To the Family, Fiancee, Friends, and Colleauges of Officer Julie Jacks,
Words cannot come close to immediately easing your sorrow and pain. However, He who bore our sorrows can and will. Our prayers and thoughts go up for you in this time and may the Lord give you grace and strength for the days ahead.

To Julie's family & friends,
May God give you the tears to cry, the time to rest, the friends to help you through each day, the strength to continue living & the wonderful memories to reflect on as you go through this most difficult time. As I read about each officer whose name appears every week on ODMP, I can't help but wonder....why so many? Why so often? Why? It is so hard to find peace inside when you lose an officer (especially a family member) and know that there are many more familys & friends who go through the same hell each week. Your loved one will never be forgotten. I pray that God will help you in all the ways that you need in the days, months & years to come.

Survivor: Calvin E. Taylor EOW: 10-3-01
(I'll never forget the day that Officer Jacks was killed; it was exactly 7 months from the day of Calvin's funeral - may they walk heaven's streets together)

WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER!
Words cannot express how many of us feel inside.
When I heard the news, it felt like a part of me died inside.
Julie was a good Officer; The best of the best - trained by the best. Without a doubt, many of us would trade places, or lay our own lives down - if we could.
Julie was a friend to me, and my wife. We've answered numerous calls together, fought together, laughed together.
Julie,
Fox Team will always remember. You are a Hero. Rest easy, little sister.
Patrolman Brian Moseley #868

Julie you will be missed by all that knew you and ones that didn't know you. Your life was taken trying to protect others. We will never forget your professionalism or the way you loved your job. I know you are in heaven looking down on us and will now protect us forever.

I saw officer Jacks on Cops this weekend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and fellow officers. My god bless us all who do this dangerous and sometimes rewarding job. It takes a special type of person to be a law enforcement officer and I am confident that Officer Jacks was that type of person. God Bless.

I did not know you, but your bravery and heroism has touched me as much as the valor and courage I have witnessed at Ground Zero. As a former street cop, I cant help but feel I have lost another member of my family. My heart sheds silent tears in your memory.
May all the angels in heaven hold you in their warm embrace.

As a lifelong Law Enforcement Officer, it hurts me deeply to hear of the death of another officer. Now that my wife is an officer, the pain is even deeper. We know this is a possibility when we put on our uniforms each day, but still, we are never prepared. Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Jacks family and friends. God is holding her close today.
Training Officer Rodney Johnson

My prayers go out to the fiance, family and friends of Officer Jacks. God has taken another angel home. Bless you all.

To the Family, and friends.
I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine that would attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot reframe from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Nation, and the cause Julie died for. I pray that our heavenly father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost and the solonm pride that must be yours to have laid down so costly a sacrifice upon the alter of Justice.

In January of this year we lost a brother from our Department. He is now in heaven praying for our health and safety. Now the Chattanooga Police Department also has an angel watching over them. Lord, please bless her fiance, her parents and her sisters. For she is now in heaven with God looking down and praying for her family and her co-workers. Rest in peace and God Bless.

I would just like to say that it was an honor to work with such an outstanding young lady. As in the words of my seven year old son Hunter "Dear God...Please take care of Julie Jacks for Mom and Dad....and let her be an angel".
Julie was always courageous and never backed down from anyone. She was always there for backup. My prayers go out to the fellow officers and her family and friends...

God Bless Officer Jacks for her selfless and heroic commitment to the citizens of Chattanooga and her fellow Officers. Although I've never met you, I've felt the pain of losing a close friend who wore the badge over the same heart that led him to choose this profession and serve his community. May your family, friends, and fellow brothers and sisters find comfort in knowing that you will never be forgotten and that your life touched more people than this message will ever be able to convey. Rest well, dear Julie, and may God bless you forever.
