I will also remember Deputy Tanner, he was not only a good deputy, he was a friend to many, and a good man. My prayers are with his family and all the law enforcement officers in Muskingum County.

It is very saddening to hear about Deputy Tanner's sacrifice. I think the hardest thing about being a police officer must be that you never know if you might find a fellow officer dying. That's why I have the utmost respect for all who protect and serve. I'll be praying for Deputy Tanner's family and fellow officers, may you all find comfort from the Lord during this sad time.

I am saddened to learn of the loss of Deputy Tanner, this is a grim reminder that nothing is routine. His family and friends will be kept in my prayers. May God be with each one of you. No greater love has anyone than this, he lay down his life for another. John 15:13
