I’ve never seen this site until today, it’s lovely to read all the nice things said and also sad to read all of my mom’s messages to Michael. Diane went to heaven 3 year ago, she never got over the loss of him. I’d like to think they are together again, like they were the last time I saw Michael. Standing in the doorway of the kitchen as he left for a night shift giving her a kiss. As an 18 year old, I loudly groaned and told them to get a room. They laughed and he squeezed her extra before leaving. I’m the same age now as he was when he died. That’s unbelievable because it doesn’t seem so long ago. I wonder how different our lives would be if he lived. He will always be in my thoughts.

My dearest, it is so hard to believe you've been gone 22 yrs. It still seems like yesterday. I hate having my phone ring at night, it's never good news. Still finding those pennies and the family of Cardinals live in the same bushes. I'm glad we still have a connection and you will be glad to know I finally retired. I wish you could hold our miracle grandson Matty. He is my sunshine,my only sunshine...

Hey Dad. I am looking for a fallen officer (DC)for one of my recruit classes here. I always come back to see you here though. I wish I could tell you about all the things I am doing now at work. If I could tell you in person it wouldn't be so hard. ...
I am so glad that I can come to the wall and bring my recruits and share you with them. Miss you everyday for always!

It's May again, Police memorial coming up..I still dread it..The pain in my heart comes back just as sharp as ever. Everyone says time heals all wounds...I don't believe it. My mind, to retain some sanity, grew a thin scar over the pain...but it's there, always.
Keep those pennies from heaven coming..I love finding them, knowing you're thinking of us.

I still think about my old pal and neighbor when we lived in Augusta, GA. I remember when Mikey and Sara were just little tots when we'd explore the new neighborhood we shared. Miss you Mike!

Diane, my name is Jimmy Reeves and though you will probably not remember me. I served with Muzy on the USS Little Rock. I was in GM Division in the missle house. I just was on the Little Rock web site and thought of Muzy and Googled his name. You can imagin how dissapointed I was when I found this article. What a fine man he was. You and Muzy welcomed me, a 19 year old kid in your home for dinner when we were in Gaeta Italy in 1974 and I never forgot it. He was the Greatest. I myself became a Police Officer after I came home working in Georgia for 12 years but got out in 1987. I just wanted you to know that my heart is broken for you and your family and although its been many years I never forgot the kindness my friend Muzy always showed me a kid from Ga. God Bless you and your Family.
