On this day, March 23, 2 years ago I lost my childhood friend- my baby brother. I remember when he was seven and got his first BB gun. We were out and Bryan shot a little sparrow out of the tree. He was horrified that he had caused this creature to suffer and took the bird to the house, where he nursed the bird until it died. When we went to bed that night Bryan cried and prayed for forgiveness. I told him that God certainly knew that we were not perfect. He said "that may be true, but God wants me to try harder than I did today". He never stopped trying harder from that day forward.
