Reflections for Sergeant Norman G. Vezina

Sergeant Vezina did such a selfless act that I hope we all can, in our own capacities try to emulate. Kenneth Firby would have been my brother inlaw (the child Sgt. Vezina valiantly tried to save).

I was married to the elder brother, Alan, who since that incident, has tried to save lives himself, and has done so, in many ways. We named our first born after Kenneth, but if we had thought about it and looked up the officer's name, we would have most definitely also included officer Vezina's name in his name as well.

To the family and friends, your loved one has not been forgotten, but has been remembered for his bravery.

Thank you for being a HERO Sgt. Vezina

I thought it amazing what this officer did. I live just down route 44, a road that leads to Smithfield. Being so close, I thought I might remark. I can only hope that such bravery lies within me; while Sgt. Vezina exemplifies it. An amazing man, an amazing sacrifice.
