Reflections for Patrol Inspector Thaddeus "Thad" Pippin

I am the grandsonson of Ray Pippin. The nephew of Thad Pippin. I am just discovering this story in 2025. As a servicemember, I honor his sacrifice..as a family member, I am proud. As an American..I am ashamed it took 100 years after his passing to install barriers on that mountain. How many other victims have there been since that time? R.I.P inspector.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
