View all 14 ReflectionsVerne was my father, William T Brindley father. My dad Bill, remembers a little about his father he was the oldest and was 9 when he passed. Verne’s widow, my grandmother Cecelia Brindley was so blessed because the LAPD paid off her house and she received a nice policeman’s pension she lived on for 68 years .. She never remarried and was a remarkable woman and raised my dad and his Brother Robert (Bob Brindley) and those boys loved their mom. It’s sad I never got to know my grandfather but love that he was honored. The Brindley’s were adventuresome people. Verne was part of that. My dad grew up creating the tools to build the Apollo capsules and Douglas DC10’s … I believe Verne would of been proud of him.
