View all 34 ReflectionsWow, came across this and it seems like it just happened yesterday. I still have very fond memories of both Ray and Scotty. As a Sheriff's Office we were very close and looked after one another. We knew each others family members and at times hung out with one another during our free time or after work. I recall the night this event had taken place . Struck me like a ton of bricks. Ray was a good ole boy whom I looked up to and always called him "Rayban". At Central Precinct while working narcotics I would run into him often. He would always produce a knife and threatened to cut my pony tail off. Scotty continued on as a pilot. I left Brevard in 1998 for a Federal Law Enforcement position. I still honor the sacrifice made by both that evening. With hopes that God blesses them both !
