K-9 Bandit, without hesitation, you did everything you were asked to do, putting yourself in the line of fire between your partner and evil. But you live on now beyond the Rainbow Bridge, in the company of like heroes. Rest in peace handsome boy, may God bless your partner and department with peace and pride in a job perfectly done. You shine now forever as a star in the heavens.

This must be heart wrenching for the officerhandler who deployed Bandit in this apprehension.
The spirituality, fidelity and nobility of these partners can only be described as "devine".
