K-9 Axe, we are devastated by your death. Without hesitation, you gave your life to spare your partner's life - nothing greater can be done even by man. We know that you are in heaven now enjoying the company of your great namesake! Our hearts, support and love go out to your partner, family and finest department. May God comfort not only them, but us Michiganders too as we realize the loss of one of our greatest K-9 heroes.
