Reflections for K9 Kimbo
I am a survivor of Officer Henry Minard, End of Watch November 18, 1972
I wanted to be sure you knew how dear K9 Kimbo has become to me and our family. We always stop and say a prayer and I put a kiss on my fingers to his beautiful picture. It must be so very painful have loved him, trained him and see that he performed like every brave officer knowing it would cost him his life. Our officers holstered their guns every day with a solumn reminder of the possibility that they someday may have to pay the ultimate price to protect us all. There are no words to whisper to K9 Kimbo that explain if he does his job as he has been trained the cost of his life maybe his final brave act. Our daughter knows how important Kimbo is to me. She sent me a picture of his monument with a note that said, " Kimbo's Handler was here today." You both remain on our thoughts. I have met you only once, but you did your job well and Kimbo performed with courage and no hesitansy. Thank you for your sacrifice. It is an honor to pay tribute you both. Kindest regards
