Yours ended way too soon stolen out from under you by Mr.Pearsall a monster and a vile and despicable coward who nearly robbed your fellow officers and close friends, Officers DiGenova and Edgerton of theirs. They lived because of God's saving grace as the doctors and paramedics worked feverishly to save yours, Officer Cook. Serenity and security are not a given and never should be taken for granted. Yesterday, I spoke with Officer Keith DiGenova, Officer Cook, he seems to be doing well as I wished him and his family a happy Easter which is what you should be celebrating tomorrow with your beloved wife Karen. The indignity of having your life and career stolen away by one man's wanton violence against you and your fellow officers of heroism, honor and dignity. Your heart and soul were very special and quite versatile in that Dade County and its people were so well protected by your fundamental resources of character, commitment and conviction all loyal, true to form and trusted as you were fearless, tireless and unselfish in your pursuits for peace, prosperity, hope and faithful goodwill. As your families gather tomorrow you can be sure you and your beloved parents won't be forgotten.
