If your mother and father could have seen you that day when you sacrificed your heart and soul, well they were always proud of you. I called today to wish Karen a nice holiday and found out she retired from her job with an aging center in Minnesota. My family and I do hope she has found a humble peace of mind and humane contentment. After all she suffered over your loss as did your family, department and Dade County in general. Such a beloved young man full of spirit, tireless heart and character so revered and all honorable. To think what Mr. Pearsall did that awful day to you and nearly taking the dignity and integrity away from your two fellow officers and friends in Officers DiGenova and and Edgerton. Fine human beings all of you including Reserve Officer Scott Lincoln, your last partner, Officer Cook. Virtue and valor on a plain and level of trust and truth.
