A small amount of evil is enough to set off a myriad of trouble. You went to those venues where violence and turmoil struck, Officer Cook and through your endless endeavor you were able more often than not to stop such adversity. Dade County was fairly fortunate to have a decent and a most loyal man among its ranks. Ingenuity and integrity stoked the flames of your dignity and fighting heart. such cornerstones and foundations laid down for a safer future but you are missing whatever you started and now with your wisdom, vision and virtue in heaven walking your angelic beat may Our Creator protect you as He blesses you. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. It takes guts not glory to end terror, you possessed and steadfastly maintained your character and scruples throughout your life cut too short because of evil. One man started that scene and you came and tried your utmost to stop him from accentuating further destruction of a proud people.

A clever man or woman can fulfill the rigors of a stressful occupation where everything from A to Z will occupy their entire day, afternoon and evening. Even when the lights go out trouble always seems to be brewing. The venues and streets were well protected by you, Officer Cook and your shining resourcefulness. Dade County was the area where Badge#1664 performed its tasks and assignments very well and with a most humble and fearless heart and soul. Always! Too bad your life had to end that day when things were looking up. But, you and your folks may you all rest in peace my neighbors, friends and hero.
