Thinking about you, Officer Cook, does make me cry. And though I never had the humble opportunity to meet you, your sister and parents, I did meet your niece, Gina and her beloved family. A hidden blessing of itself and whenever I speak with your friend and former comrade, Keith DiGenova I feel as though I know you. Our families never met but shopping at the Publix on NE 8th ave, the Winn Dixie in the area somehow as families crossed paths. Such a distinguished man who implanted integrity, dignity and reverence on every corner where you protected our lives and souls. Eternity is a venue of quiet and private for families to grieve for their loved ones. To pay homage, to solemnly salute valor and vision, virtue being your chosen vehicle where navigations meant something to society. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Convincing dignity and reliable integrity all were honest and central to your earthly journeys undertaken with Our Maker looking after you as you patrolled for our very inspirations of tranquility, freedom and hope that springs eternal. Heaven is where your angelic spirit is safeguarded forever no more harm, pain or suffering. You sacrificed your life as a hero, as intuition never delayed nor wavered. Perpetuity lies forever in your spirit of humbleness.

If only Mr. Pearsall had listened to your directives that tragic day, Officer Cook, none of this would have transpired and you would be alive and well today enjoying your retirement. At least that should have been the thought process. Violence and evil severely undermine those plans far too many times. Dade County was protected by your spirit of adventure, your passionate heart and soul, such dedication, dignity and integrity never forgotten for heaven has forever a man filled with humbleness, versatility and such esteem that remains valuable, priceless and treasured. Your consummate character, sincere conviction and total truth and trustworthiness are all a part of your heroic legacy sheltered under God's wings of love, mercy and perfection until your family reunites with you.
