Reflections for Police Officer Jason Howard Offner

RIP!! One of the most knowledgeable officers you could meet. Jason was a career officer and when he retired from NYPD he became an officer with Seagate Police and then was an Officer with NYHP (NYC Hospital Police) when he passed away. I worked with and became friends with Jason when he joined NYHP. The best part about this man was he was funny and always willing to teach/ pass on his knowledge to other officers to make them better. He was not only a great person but a great friend who dedicated his life to law enforcement. You will forever be missed!

Lord Jesus, as we watch our nation’s brave law enforcement officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the law enforcement officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.

“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]
