Hi Mike,

We think about you all the time. I'm sure you can hear the song Sydney made up for you when she's praying at night. Keep praying for Denise and the kids. Please keep giving Denise the strength and courage she needs when times are difficult. As you know, Denise is truly an amazing person (sister) her courage and strength to deal with this is astonishing. Please keep putting in a good word for her.

Hey lady, just wanted to stop by and see how everyone was doing. Hope you had a good 4th and you and kids were able to enjoy yourselves this year. It's nice making new memories for the kids to have but still a little sad that we're not making them with our hubbys. Its so hard to believe that Mike and Wayne have been gone 17 months tomorrow. Do you ever feel like some days it feels like a lifetime and other days it feels as if it just happened yesterday. I wonder if it will always be like that. I guess only time will tell. Well, take care and make sure you call if you come down to Florida. We take the kids to Disney or Universal. Enjoy the rest of your summer!!!!!!!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about your family and feel your pain. We met in D.C. and I had the privledge of spending some time with you. I was there with Mi-Cops.
Brian- WOW do you look like your brother! You told me you did, but man was I shocked when I saw Mike's picture. I hope that you are able to go to the COPS sibling retreat. It's an unbelievable experience that could help you in this whole crappy thing called "grief".

Took the kids to the parade today...Robbin and her kids and my mom and dad were with us...we had a really great time. The kids and I were excited about going...it felt good to look forward to it, again. It was great seeing the kids have such a good time...wonderful to see them smiling and hear them laughing.

Amazingly, a group was there who were playing the drums and bagpipes. We were sitting close to the end of the parade so that when they had finished they stood directly across the street from us and continued to play for the rest of the parade...Robbin said that you must have put in a good word for us...We did get a laugh out of that.

I definitely look forward to and appreciate little things more now and am thankful that I can feel any bit of excitement again....going to Cedar Point tomorrow and we're looking forward to that too. Making new, happy, memories slowly, although, you're never far from my mind and heart. I love you, boo.
