Well it is the eve of 21 years since you were taken from us and it doesn’t get any easier. Miss you everyday Paddy. Never thought that we wouldn’t grow old together and bust each other’s chops on who would be in worse shape on each hunting trip. I keep thinking about getting back out in the woods for a hunt but it just isn’t the same. We had some great trips, especially the ones up in Maine. 18 years smoke free now ,can you believe that. Fall is coming quick this year, our favorite time of year. Your signs are always seen and appreciated. Love and miss ya Paddy Boy.

Met Parker working intelligence division in the late 90s. Then we would take a bus from an mos parking lot to the Arthur ash tennis stadium. On the bus Parker often late, and joking he would sit in the front area on top of the first detective seated. Mind you he was like 6”2, 330 pounds lol. He often wore a loud colored suit (purple I recall the last one),
Every detective on the bus would laugh as he then walked pass me toward the back. He was like a giant teddy bear! His loud laughter and big smile was infectious to say the least. The man walked like a giant amongst us. Always remembered as a great man. One occasion I recall asking why he hadn’t retired. He mentioned his family was from down south and didn’t have anyone nearby. And added he loved his job! Was hoping to last over 30 years on the job. For me I said, I can’t wait for my 20 to leave. He laughed and understood my decision

I left at 20 and now enjoying life in Florida. Rest in peace brother!

I thought about Pat today. I worked with him for a few years in Midtown South, 4 x 12's, early 90's. Pat and his partner Billy used to make me laugh so much.

Hey Paddy Boy…19 years gone by now and missing you everyday. Didn’t end up using that hunting license this past year but I did give it some thought. Still so hard to think of hitting the woods without you. 17 years smoke free now. The weather is usually cooling down by now but not this season. Thanks for the constant signs Paddy. Love and miss you.

18 years tomorrow since you were taken from us Paddy. Thanks for the continued signs….I actually purchased a hunting license for the upcoming fall….not sure if I’ll use it but it’s a start. It’s just starting to feel like fall, at least in morning and evening. Missing you every day Paddy. If I do hit the woods this fall I’m expecting some help from you. Love ya.

Hey Paddy,
Another year passed by…17 years tomorrow since you were taken from us and I can still hear our last conversation in my head. I really wish we had the opportunity to go on all the hunts we talked about. Can you believe the shape I’ve let myself get to….yes I’m sure your looking down and laughing at me. If I actually make it into the woods this fall I’ll be expecting a little help from you. I miss ya Paddy boy.

Paddy...16 years tomorrow...can it be that long ago...September was always such a great month for us as the weather got cooler and the hunting seasons approached. The ducks and geese are flying low and to just hear them I know its you. Am getting a bit more pressure to hunt again but still not sure how I feel about that without you. I remain smoke free and doubt that will ever change again. I still laugh to myself thinking of all the times we had quit and as soon as we hit the road for a hunting trip...there we were smoking again. Miss you buddy and as always, thanks for the signs. Gone but never forgotten Paddy. Love you.

15 years ago tomorrow....15 years....I can’t believe that much time has gone by since that day. It doesn’t get any easier, especially when Sept. approaches. The temperature change and the hunting seasons starting was always our favorite time. I miss you terribly buddy . Thanks for continually sending me signs. 14 years smoke free for me now...I know you probably can’t believe that but it’s true. Still haven’t hit the woods without you but people are trying to get me out there. Maybe someday. Love and miss you Paddy.

Was in New York with officers from Peel Regional Police (Canada) for the 9-11 Memorial Parade in 2004, staying at the Park Central Hotel. NYPD had arranged for a bus to take us to Battery Park for the march...it was on the morning of the 11th that we heard of the deaths of Detectives Parker and Rafferty. Every September 11th I always take a moment to remember these two officers...
