Lord God of unfailing love, to those families of our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a Law Enforcement K9 Partner and family member in the Line-of-Duty, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. Amen.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4 CSB)

K9 Preacher, Taking the perpetrator off the streets has protected others but does nothing to replace you. Thankfully, God protected the Sheriff's deputy despite his severe wounds and injuries. Your dedication to perform your duties perfectly was evident as your fearlessly executed your pursuit. You gave your life protecting other officers. Losing you is a painful reminder of what evil can do, but evil is overcome by greatness and goodness as exemplified by you. Let your partner know that you are at rest and enjoying the company of fellow hero K9s who have gone before you. God took you home - His mercy is responsible to give your partner, family and department comfort, rest and pride in you! Thank you for your complete and unwavering service!

As a proud citizen of our beautiful state of Maine I’m so deeply devastated to hear about the loss of our dear K9 preacher. This is the first time since 2019 that Maine has lost a Law Enforcement officer in the line of duty, and in the worst way possible. Murder. It brings me to tears just thinking about.
So this is why I call on the rest of the country to leave all condolences and prayers possible to the Maine state police, preachers beloved handler, and most of all, Preacher herself who gave her life defending all of those other officers on the scene. Just imagine if she hadn’t been in pursuit, someone else probably would’ve been in her place, like one of those troopers or one of those deputies.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your service to our beautiful state of Maine, you are a true superhero K9 Preacher. Rest in peace old girl, you will NEVER be forgotten.
